| As a gun owner and life member of the NRA, I support the second Amendment, and believe strongly in firearm safety. Training and safety is important and I have no problem with ownership licensing, after all you can't drive a car without a license and required minimal competency, why not apply the same to firearms. | |||

| Women's rights, to make decisions about their own bodies needs to be enshrined in law. In Kansas, the voters made it clear in 2022 that the principles of Roe v. Wade should apply to Kansas law. The legislature has repeated ignored the people and attempted to pass restrictive laws which have been vetoed or struck down upon legal challenge. Politicians have no place in a doctors exam room or the bedroom. Healthcare is an essential service that everyone should have access to. The expansion of Medicaid is an important part of ensuring healthcare access. It would benefit over 150 thousand Kansans, many of them children as well as helping to reduce costs for other Kansans. Promoting and improving health as well as reducing unnecessary disability caused by lack of treatment. Medicaid expansion would help close the coverage gap. Full funding for the Public Schools. In Kansas, our schools and special education are underfunded, our teachers are under paid and their retirement is ranked 34th in the nation while our legislators have a retirement plan ranked 2nd in the nation. We need a strong, robust public school system to prepare our children for the future. Public dollars for public schools, Public schools are one of the foundations of our nation, we dare not neglect it. A fair tax plan that does not favor the upper 3% of the population. Providing equal pay for equal work and a living wages for every worker. Labor unions built the middle class and establish the highest standard of living in the world, the tax burden should not be solely on the middle class earners. As we support our workers, we must also work for preservation of the family farm and agribusiness that has been part of Kansas culture for over 150 years. |
